Penelope and Pip

 Penelope and Pip is the creation of Brisbane based illustrator, Rachael Smith. Her art prints begin as hand-drawn sketches using Indian inks and pencil, which are then completed digitally with lots of layers of vintage patterns and textures. Rachael is inspired by mid-century colour palettes as well as the fairytales and adventures she read from all the lovely books she had as a child. Her artwork depicts a menagerie of curious characters and creatures with each little picture having its own unique tale of whimsy and adventure - kind of like a one page picture book.

Rachael lives in beautiful Brisbane on the East Coast of Australia, with her own little menagerie of furry friends who keep her company while she is busy illustrating.
